Pan de queso is a traditional cheese bread made with tapioca flour, milk and eggs. Originally from South America in general, however, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia claim the paternity.
The preparation is not difficult at all, what is a bit complicated is to find the tapioca flour (or at least for me it was) but if you have the opportunity to buy it do not miss these sandwiches that are really super and perfect to accompany some tasty cold cuts.
These Brazilian cheese sandwiches are gluten free so even celiac friends will be able to appreciate this fantastic preparation. I leave you the recipe, as usual, if you try it, then let me know if you liked the pan de queso. Kisses :*
How to make the Pan de queso
Put the milk, oil and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
When it starts to boil, move the saucepan from the heat and add the flour.
Then mix quickly.
When the mixture is soft and comes off the sides of the pan, let it cool slightly.
Now incorporate the egg and stir, add the Parmesan cheese and start mixing again
Once you have a compact dough, form small balls.
Then transfer them to a dripping pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven at 180 ° C for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Your Pan de queso is ready to be brought to the table.
